No Change in OPR by BNM

MALAYSIA kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged as the global growth for 2025 turned out higher than expected, mainly reflecting lower-than-anticipated tariffs, higher artificial intelligence (AI)-led tech spending and stronger fiscal support.
At its meeting today, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) decided to maintain the overnight policy rate (OPR) at 2.75%, in line with market expectations.
